What we have it special, that it can be taken from us. -- Coach Taylor My eyes were wide open. -- Matt Serecin We will all fall. -- Coach Taylor Masculinity is what keeps teams from winning. Y'know what everyone's saying in the dugout, in the locker room? Y'all aren't communicating. Y'know why they aren't communicating?

you arrive and tell me there is a new shape right there not so spring not so WHAT IS AN EVENING FOR Col- through a stocking hat i trace the angles still i feel its sort of a soft wish or blue O rites to ask which lines are parallel your gulp pulse we get to the part where two fences meet and Pear tree petals? Meet returning to possibility of exhale. trying to make a negative of the figure to peer through it we double back on what i can't yet say - not knowing the language this new shape asks for Stillness i had to practice, practicing Now. Breathing as -What was it? water, as a duck silent near lost approaches up the dirt sight of path, breathing At first I tasted only the blackberry preserves on your tongue, turning over and slowly, something there!! else then, only the else in the river

i wanna brush my teeth in your bathroom mirror, i wanna spit into your sink. i wanna touch your towels. i wanna go through your cabinets and read every label on every medication bottle. i didn't know you had so much trouble sleeping.

PA Turnpike by Josh Dale

PA Turnpike Red dead deer carcass every 100 miles, small game every 50. Appalachian mountain ranges in distance. Men painting a silo dangling on a platform Roadside ads for Denny's, Cracker Barrel, Sheetz, cheap motels. Random colleges begging for enrollment. Redundant political ads, tattered & wavering in the breeze. Where passenger cars end, semis and old trucks begin. Long expanses of straight gray road. Who rules your life? Jesus or the self sign. Farmland and cow shit; obviously. National guard convoys eastbound, always away from me.

Pandemic Poetry Mothers cutting up sheets, pillowcases where rested our childhood heads, grandparents' old clothing Patterns of memory To protect. The modern quilt is facial coverings.

Imagine it, instead of blushing, our cheeks glowed with warm, golden light Etymology of shame...He'll be the pacemaker, it's fine I mean my artificial heart A single grain of sugar in my shoe Race: White Socioeconomic status: middle class from upper middle class ... I put it on the shelf with the other moons JimmyCarter put solar panels on the roof of the white house. And Ronald Regan took them off.
